About the Authors

I write for the woman crying quietly in her car.
I write for the partner who hasn’t slept in two days.
I write for the survivor who is still trying to breathe through triggers.
I write for the person who whispers, “Why do I still hurt?”
Every word I publish is the support I needed at my lowest point — compassionate, structured, trauma-informed, and rooted in real human experience.
And I’m honoured to walk with you now.
Sophia’s Story
I didn’t set out to become an author in the infidelity recovery world.
This path was shaped by the darkest chapter of my life.
When I discovered the betrayal in my own relationship, the shock was indescribable. I felt like my world had collapsed overnight. I searched for guidance, for a voice that understood the panic, the confusion, the fear — but all I found were generic articles, conflicting advice, or cold clinical explanations.
Nothing spoke to the reality of betrayal trauma:
the shaking, the racing thoughts, the emotional paralysis, the identity collapse.
I survived that pain — slowly, painfully, and with a burning desire to make sure no one else had to feel as alone as I did.
That is why I write.

For more than twenty years, I’ve worked as a counsellor supporting individuals and couples navigating some of the hardest moments a relationship can face. Infidelity, betrayal, secrecy, and emotional rupture leave deep wounds — wounds that require more than quick fixes or vague advice.
When I met Sophia, I recognised the authenticity of her voice, the lived truth that so many of my clients were desperate to hear.
Together, we created the After the Affair series to bridge two worlds:
the survivor’s emotional truth and the counsellor’s professional guidance.
We want you to know that healing is possible.
Not quickly.
Not perfectly.
But deeply — and in time, beautifully.
