S.J. Howe BSc (Hons)

S.J. Howe writes under a pen name intentionally, and this choice reflects a deep understanding of the journey many readers are on. Those who visit this site often find themselves navigating experiences they’ve yet to share with others. Writing anonymously allows for a space where we can explore the difficult and nuanced aspects of these stories without the pressure of performing for an audience.

S.J. Howe’s insights come from her own lived experiences rather than formal credentials. She has faced the pain of betrayal and the challenges of a high-conflict separation. In the years that followed, she did what many of us do in tough times: she immersed herself in reading, tried various frameworks that didn’t always resonate, and carefully observed what truly worked in the complexities of real life. Through this journey, she has gradually built a practical system drawn from what has proven effective.

The After the Affair Hub and the After the Affair book series are heartfelt creations stemming from that experience, crafted specifically for individuals who find themselves in similar situations.

This isn’t therapy, nor is it a substitute for it. Instead, it serves as a toolkit born from genuine need, designed to offer support and understanding to those navigating their own paths.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple — to provide honest, compassionate support for people navigating betrayal, separation, and recovery.

Through our writing, resources, and guides, we aim to help individuals regain clarity, rebuild emotional strength, and move forward with confidence.

Healing takes time, but with the right support, a stronger future is possible.

A note on how we write: nothing on this site is clinical advice, and nothing here claims to replace a therapist, mediator, or lawyer. What it offers instead is specific: frameworks built from having lived the problem, not from a textbook description of it.
